We are the FGB Foundation, a non-profit umbrella foundation based in Basel, Switzerland.

Under our umbrella we gather many different funds and projects: The project funds collect money for their projects and offer a tax-exempt crowdfunding opportunity. The theme funds are dedicated to individual themes. The donations in the theme funds are allocated by the foundation's staff to projects in the respective areas. The subfoundation funds are endowments within the Foundation. The representatives of the subfoundation funds decide on the allocations from these funds themselves.

As a “consumptive foundation”, we have no fixed, investment capital, but redistribute money directly, participatively and in solidarity way.

For us, trusting relationships between people are the basis for a sustainable and social impact of donations. Our approach is to work in an understandable, manageable and meaningful with gift money.

You can get involved with us in different ways:

You can use money. Introduce yourself and your project or your concern via our application form. After we received your application, we will contact you and discuss if and how a cooperation is possible. Before you fill out our application form, please read through our Guidance for funding requests.

You can give money. Donate money for a project that excites you or support one of our existing theme funds. Or you start your own foundation
under our umbrella.

In addition, you can support our work as a foundation by donating to our Foundation FGB fund. Every contribution helps and is close to our heart.

You can collect money. Start your own project fund and raise money for your project through it. For a free consultation, our open foundation consultation hours are available. Here you can come and talk to us about your issues and questions.

Together we change money. We don't just change the world with money. We change the way we deal with money to change the world. Here you will find our thoughts, our questions and our topics. Feel free to write us about your approach to money and your thoughts.

It is often easier to talk about topics and questions in a personal conversation. That's why we offer the monthly consultation-hours on the first Tuesday afternoon, where you can come by (offline in Basel or online via videocall) and talk to us personally.
